What a week!

Wow! This week has been a lot. That's the best way I know to say it. A lot of deaths and losses, just craziness all around. My prayers and thoughts to all the families.

Through all the hecticness and mess, our God still reigns and He will forevermore. I am so blessed to know Him, I think sometimes, well, a lot actually, about the people who don't and then the people who have never even heard His name. It's heartbreaking and aching and makes me feel sick to my stomach and reality is, it's their blood on our hands and that's a lot to deal with. But through everything, the Lord still offers peace, grace, His freedom, and wow oh wow His forgiveness. These four words have been in the back of my head all week. I have relied on these four words and Him acting through them all week. What an awesome God we serve, and how incredible is it to say, always, always, always, no matter what, no restictions, OUR GOD IS A GOD WHO SAVES!

This week has also been very exciting and we've had a lot of great times with friends and family.

Wednesday was See You at the Pole and Caleb and I met some of our youth at BSHS, it's always incredible and very encouraging to see the youth of our nation gathered around their school's flagpole praying for our nation, their classmates, and their teachers. We had an awesome See You after the Pole rally later that night with Billy Wayne and the gang and the life poll grew! Kids came to know our Lord and Savior as the personal Christ!
Thursday, all of our favorite shows started back up and might I say they were hilarious. We enjoyed a very fun night with some special friends.
Friday, I went to dinner with a really special group of girls. We had such a great time and really shared "girl time." They are very precious to me and I am very blessed to be able to work with them. Following dinner I went to a bonfire where I met Caleb and some more friends we just sat around telling old stories and funny times and shared some great laughs with each other.
Saturday, myself and four other great girls went to get our bridesmaid dresses for a very special someone's wedding. We had such a great time and it's so fun getting to share these special moments with some of your greates friends. After leaving David's Bridal I met Caleb and our friends for a football game party where we watched Carolina, yes loose, but play well and truly honor Kenny.
Tomorrow weve have the honor and priveledge of going to church to worship our King and lift His name. We get the awesome opportunity to teach the youth and then join hundreds of others to praise our one true God. Following church, Caleb and I are picking up my Tyroney and taking him to dinner and out for the afternoon! We love him dearly and are very excited to see him tomorrow. Tomorrow night we have small group, another great time to join with fellow believers and brag on our God. And then, Dexter starts back up tomorrow! woop woop! such an awesome week, awful, tragic stuff happens but our God has His divine plan and will REIGN FOREVERMORE!

chemistry... blah blah blah!

So... as I sit here in Chemistry, again, will not actually again considering I skipped Tuesday but you get the point, I am on the computer blogging, checking the knot, browsing gifts for Caleb, gifts for bridesmaids, looking for cute indie vintage decorations, etc. etc. etc. I HATE this class! Actually most of my notes say that exactly. I am extremely bored and, of course, don't get it! Notecards are about to become my best friend.

Anyway, so, I've looked all over for, cute, classy Gamecock wedding cake toppers. I've finally found some! A lady I found on etsy will be making them for us! She makes them out of clay and with every purchase she receives she donates some of the profits to helping rescue stray cats. She does such a cute job, and, on top of her wonderful talent, she's helping helpless animals without a home. I'm going to attach her website so you guys can check them out! But, no stealing our wedding cake toppers please! ;) And if you were hoping to sneak a peek, too bad, she's making them one-of-a-kind especially for us! :)

The love bubble...

So... I'm sitting here watching Killers for the fourth time! Great movie, one of my new favorites. My momma and daddy haven't seen it yet so I thought I would spend some qt time with them and watch Killers. If you haven't seen Killers you definitely should! I saw it twice in theaters and then Caleb bought it for me when it came out on DVD so I like to watch all the time now. Killers is about a married couple that meets in France where the husband is a spy. He gets out of the job to be with his new best friend, they get married and settle down looking for the all American life. Things are going well until his old boss reaches out to him and a bounty is put out on him, husband and wife go on a big adventure where they are simply trying so stay alive. The adventure test their marriage and trust for each other. I get a little frustrated with the wife at one point when she loses trust in her husband and leaves him, she comes back super fast and everything is peachy! And then the movie continues and you'll have to see it to find out what happens! ;) So, the point of this little rampage is a catchy phrase they use a lot in this movie. Him and her both talk about being in the love bubble! I love those two little words, love bubble. I'm pretty sure Caleb and I stay in the love bubble always, I hope the bubble never pops! You hear of it so often and see it so much. Couples get so caught up in their busy lives they just become two people living together. Or, the husband gets so use to the wife doing everything that needs to be done in the house and never says thank you or shows appreciation. And, then, for the husbands, they work super duper hard all week and never earn appreciation. You know, we've all heard it or seen it somewhere. There are plenty of movies and t.v. shows that illustrate this. I think it's kind of pathetic it happens so often and it is one thing I don't have to worry about with mine and Caleb's soon to be marriage. Caleb and I share something very special, the most important thing in our relationship, the Lord. He will always remain at the "top of the triangle" and will always be our best friends individually. Where He is, peace is, and His plan is revealed. I trust that our love bubble will always surround us as a couple as long as we have the Lord number 1 in our relationship! This may be kind of corny but it just came to me as I'm sitting here watching Killers with momma and daddy. Sorry to bore you if so! Check back this week for more post! ;)

Full time student, ABA therapist, and fiance! ;)

My name is Allie! Welcome to my blog! I am a true South Carolinian and true Gamecock fan! I am recently engaged to my best friend, Caleb! He proposed July 3 and we have set a date for June 18, 2011! We have been dating for 4 years as of September 10. We are both full time students, with jobs, very active in our church, and, planning a wedding, and marriage. Caleb is an elementary education major where he has about a year and a half left! We're looking at May, 2012 for his graduation. I will graduate this coming May and we will get married that next month. I am also an elementary education major, finishing up some general education classes this semester and will student teach in the Spring! I am very excited about teaching, it has been a long, hard, time coming, but will be very rewarding. This semester, I am taking Biology with lab, Chemistry with lab, and Geology with lab. And, oh yeah, Spanish 2. (I've never taken Spanish ever before this semester!) ;) needless to say, a very tough semester for me. I should have completed these classes all before beginning my clinicals but I guess, I somehow thought they would just go away and I wouldn't have to take any science! But boy was I wrong. It's been hard, but, with our June wedding ahead, I will pass these classes, I will student teach in the Spring, and, I will marry Caleb Aaron in June! :) On top of going to school, I work as an ABA line therapist where I do one-on-one therapy with children diagnosed with autism. I love my job, the coolest yet! It's somewhat of a stress relief during these impossible semesters of college. Caleb and I are both very involved in our church. Our church is a blessing to us individually and as a couple and we love how our mission field has taken off there! Serving the Lord together is our favorite thing to do together! The Lord is our stronghold, and through Him, we have everything. He put the two of us together and has huge plans for us! His plan and His purpose! We are very excited to see them revealed.

This is just the first blog, of hopefully, many more to come! You can call this a get to know me kind! The ones to come will be about our crazy, hectic lives, while planning our wedding! Caleb has already called me a fiancezilla! I wasn't being mean, I promise! But, there is a lot that goes into a wedding, and no matter how much I'd had planned since I was a girl, it still can be a little overwhelming! But oh so fun! I hope I don't bore you, and, if I do, just don't read! This is just something for me to share with all! :)
